If they say “It’s worse to be a boy nowadays!’

You could say:

“Men and boys are victims of gender inequality and harmful gender norms too. A lot of men and boys I know say they feel pressure because of things like toxic online sexism and unhealthy masculinity. They can have such a big impact. But that doesn’t mean women have it easier than boys. Maybe it’s that everyone faces different challenges today.”

This flips the narrative and encourages them to consider a different perspective.
