What we’re calling for
Despite the Prime Minister announcing further devasting cuts to aid, UK leadership on Sudan over the coming weeks can still help save lives and galvanise the international community to do far more.
We’re calling on the UK Government to secure a ceasefire that ends the violence and provides life-saving aid, particularly for girls as their needs are so often overlooked.
Millions of children’s futures hang in the balance
The conflict has had a horrifying impact on children’s lives. Children have witnessed and been subject to brutal violence. They’ve lost loved ones. They’ve been driven from their homes and forced to leave behind their schools and communities.
Girls are especially vulnerable in this crisis. Reports of gender-based violence have surged. And for girls forced to flee, they face an increased risk of exploitation, missing school and going hungry.
